Can drug use effect mental health?

   Mental Health and Substance Use         "If you can quit for a day, you can quit for a lifetime."Abstaining from the use of drugs can be very difficult but it reaps a lot of benefits, including better mental clarity. Many believe that participating in drug use will not have any effects on that individual's mental health. But my research will say otherwise. Doing drugs can lead to depression, suicidal thoughts or attempts, and lastly personality disorders. Have you ever really wanted to do something fun like what your friends are always doing. You want to go out, be social, and just have a great time! But when it is the day of that specific fun social activity you shy out? Well here's my take on it... I believe that doing something engaging socially and mentally is very important. Yes, you would rather stay in bed because it's your comfort area, but it's not good for it to be that for a long period. Going out with friends and making memories will be very beneficial for how you view life and or how you feel mentally. But just know that you don't need friends to make memories. When it comes to feeling free mentally and socially YOU come first. You can go on dates with yourself. Pick yourself up off that bed and be your own friend primarily.
