What I Want to Be: Discovering Your Passion and Pursuing Your Dreams

There's something about helping people that I enjoy. It gives me a feeling of achievement. Whenever I feel someone needs help I just need to quickly step in. This is where my future dream job comes in place. I want to be a social worker. But I not only want to help people face to face I want to help a whole community.

I feel like the social work occupation is calling out my name and screaming at me to pursue it. But the thing is there are a lot of things you can do as a social worker and I don't know what type of social worker I want to be yet. I'll figure it out though. Anyways when it comes to the future I feel like our minds need to stay focused a little bit on it. If we were to think about the past all our lives we'll never get prepared for our future because we're too busy loathing our past.

The present and the future are important. There's this thing I say to myself whenever I'm bored and have nothing to do. I ask myself "What can I do at this moment that can help prepare me for my future or help me reach my present goals?" It has really helped me get my life together. Instead of doing something like watching tik toks for hours you can make goals and prepare yourself to become the better you.

Update: 8/19/22

I want to get into some seriousness. I am not entirely sure that I want to be a social worker anymore. Mainly because each person I inform that I want to be one they tell me not to and that it's a demanding job that doesn't pay well. And it has kind of crushed my dream because I have always dreamed of a future of financial stability and if social workers won't get me there then I guess I need to find a different future occupation that will.

Comment what your dream job is I would love to know!
